2024-2025 Scholarship Opportunities and Instructions for Returning Law Students
Law Student Service Scholarship Application – Opens February 1; closes February 16.
- Research Assistant to Professor or Administrative Offices (Admissions or Career Services).
- Dean Writing Fellow (requires both Service Application and application for Writing Fellow).
- Academic Success Fellow (requires both Service Application and application for ASP).
- If you want to be a research assistant for a faculty member, you must complete the online application.
- If you currently have a research assistantship, you still MUST complete the application.
- If you are a current student who has either a Herff, Faculty Emeritus, or Humphreys Scholarship, you must complete the online application.

Tiger Scholarship Manager – Opens February 1; closes April 1.
- Some of these scholarships have specific requirements and many ask for your résumé, class rank, and information on your financial need. Please only apply for the ones for which you qualify. For example, if you are not a veteran, do not apply for the McKnight Scholarship. But, if you are a veteran, please be sure to have that information on your résumé.
- Most scholarships require an interest statement and résumé.
- Proof your interest statement and résumé. Many of these essays and résumés go to donors for selection.

Memphis Access & Diversity Scholarship, now called Memphis Law Advantage.
- If you currently have an MLA scholarship, you must reapply.

- This requires a 250-word statement and must meet one of the predetermined categories to qualify.
Most TSM awards will be finalized in June after spring grades and ranks are released.
