1Ls & 2Ls interested in AIR FORCE JAG CORPS
The Graduate Law Program and One Year College Program are how we select your 1Ls and 2Ls for full time positions with the Air Force JAG Corps after graduation. These are not internship positions, but selection programs for full-time post-graduation JAG Corps positions. Students selected to these programs complete AFROTC throughout law school and enter as an Air Force JAG after graduating law school and passing the bar exam. These programs are a great way for your students to secure a post-graduation Air Force JAG Corps position well before their 3L year.

One Year College Program (OYCP) – 2Ls

Deadlines:
• January 10, 2020 (recommended November or December completion): Interview with AFROTC Detachment Commander
• January 10, 2020: Complete and submit the online application
• February 1, 2020: Complete interview with Staff Judge Advocate
Eligibility:
• Attending an ABA-approved law school at an institution that either offers an AFROTC program or allows you to take AFROTC courses at a nearby school via a cross-town agreement
• Meet HQ AFROTC entry standards o Must interview with the AFROTC Detachment Commander before you apply to the JAG Corps (the earlier the better!)
• Be a Citizen of the United States of America (birth or naturalization)
• Be able to commission as an officer before the age of 40
Selection Criteria:
• The Air Force JAG Corps selects applicants based on the whole person concept. Selection factors include: academic performance; work experience; leadership traits; extracurricular activities; integrity; core values; awards and honors; adaptability and flexibility; motivational statement; and military records (if applicable). **Your appointment as a JAG is contingent upon providing proof of legal licensing.
