Investiture Ceremony for Justice Holly Kirby

The law school will host the investiture ceremony for Justice Holly Kirby on Friday, Sept. 17 at 10:15 a.m. Justice Kirby will be sworn in as a member of the Tennessee Supreme Court by Governor Bill Haslam. Students are invited to watch the proceedings via a live stream in Wade Auditorium beginning at 10:15 a.m. There will also be a reception immediately following the swearing-in ceremony in the Student Lounge, which students are invited to attend as well. The reception will be attended by a large number of local attorneys, politicians, and members of the judiciary, so please dress professionally if you plan on attending that portion of the event. It will be a good opportunity to network with members of the legal community.
