Immediate Judicial Externship/Internship Opportunity with Shelby County Circuit Court Judge Mary Wagner
Shelby County Circuit Court Judge Mary Wagner is looking for an upper-level law student to perform eight hours a week in an internship and externship position to start immediately. Judge Wagner is an alumnus of the University of Memphis School of Law and was appointed to the Circuit Court for the 30th Judicial District (Shelby County) by Governor Bill Haslam in October 2016.
Students with strong research, analysis and writing skills may apply for the position as for-credit (two credits) field placement through the Spring Externship Course or as a non-credit bearing internship. If a 2L student is selected for the internship/externship position, that student may apply for Judge Wagner’s paid 3L law clerk position that will start in May. Interested students should contact Professor Danny Schaffzin (dschffzn@memphis.edu) as soon as possible.
