3Ls: Postgrad Clerkship with Tennessee Court of Appeals in Jackson

Position: Junior Law Clerk for Tennessee Court of Appeals judge based in Jackson, Tennessee (to start as soon as Chancellor Maroney is confirmed as a Judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals). Graduating 3Ls will also be considered for a position to begin after the bar exam.  

This is a full-time, one-year position, and the start date is negotiable. The position is open to graduates taking the Bar exam or licensed attorneys. The term may be extended beyond one year, to be consistent with the typical hiring calendar. Possible hybrid work due to office renovations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties include researching substantive legal issues, preparing legal memoranda, and drafting opinions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and high standards of integrity and professionalism.  Law Review preferred.
