2Ls: Apply to Paid TVA Summer Internship by August 31st
Summer 2024 Legal PAID Internship Programs, Office of the General Counsel Tennessee Valley Authority, Knoxville, TN (Hybrid):
The Tennessee Valley Authority, a corporation owned by the U.S. government is the largest public power provider in the U.S. TVA’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) employs approximately 40 attorneys who provide a full range of legal services to TVA’s organizations, including representing TVA’s interests in judicial and administrative litigation. Other professionals in OGC’s Ethics and Compliance and Records Management groups round out the OGC.
Throughout the Internship, Interns will be assigned to work on a variety of assignments in the OGC. Assignments are given in terms of specific needs and objectives and work is reviewed upon completion. Guidance and mentorship are available throughout the assignments.
As with all TVA employment, TVA is especially interested in candidates with diverse backgrounds. Required Hiring Criteria: Current 2L, Minimum GPA 3.2.
Compensation For Full Summer Term (10 weeks or longer): 40 hours per week. Hourly wage is $31.50. TVA is in a hybrid work environment. Interns will work remotely and only need to be in office on occasion. Interns located outside of the Knoxville area will be eligible for travel reimbursement for the times they will be required to come to TVA’s Knoxville Office.
