The Advanced Moot Court Competition will begin in the fall semester!
The Advanced Competition is a unique experience that simulates taking an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States. Competitors will work in two-person teams, where each team member will choose an issue to brief and argue. Each team will submit a jointly written appellate brief before the competition, which will factor into each round’s scores.
If you haven’t already, we would strongly recommend signing up for Appellate Advocacy with Professor Kritchevsky, as it goes hand in hand with the Advanced Competition. In Appellate Advocacy, students draft a brief and orally argue the same issues as the Advanced Competition. In other words, Appellate Advocacy students write their competition briefs in the class.
We encourage everyone to follow the Moot Court Board’s social media pages for teasers about the problem over the summer. The Board hopes to see you in the competition in the fall!
