The IP Career Showcase was started to educate students about various careers in intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, from the perspective of professionals in private practice, corporations, and universities. GIPA facilitates such education by connecting students with experienced IP professionals who not only share their knowledge and experiences in panel discussions, but several of whom build relationships with interested students through coaching and mentoring well after panel discussions have ended In this way, the IP Career Showcase can be a starting point for students to find the right IP career, as well as learn how to prepare for and be successful in that career.
